We’re in the middle of spring, and summer is quickly approaching! That means there are several events that you need to put on your calendar! Indoor, outdoor, family-friendly, food – you name it! Castle Rock truly has something for everyone to check out in the next few months!

Spring Kickoff Concert – May 14

Enjoy live music, food & drink at Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock and artists from Colorado Circus at the Spring Kickoff Concert. Area breweries and local restaurants will sell food and beverages. No tickets are required.

Climb4Change – May 21

Climb4Change is a unique timed racing event at Philip Miller Park.  Participants race on the 200-step Challenge Hill, climbing 178 at least once during the four climb challenges. The proceeds from this event go towards providing scholarships and purchasing adaptive equipment for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities.

26th Annual Ducky Derby – June 12

The Ducky Derby is the biggest fundraising event for the Castle Rock Rotary Clubs each year. The race begins at 2:00 pm and involves releasing thousands of rubber ducks into Plum Creek. The first two duckies to reach the finish line will receive a brand new E-bike, and later duckies may earn cash prizes. Food trucks and local breweries will be serving up their delicious creations throughout the day.

Chamber Golf Classic – June 13

The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce’s annual golf tournament is a great way to connect with the county’s top business leaders. This event features a four-person scramble format and is attended by over 200 community leaders. Throughout the course, sponsors set up tents to provide refreshments and other services to the participants.

Castle Rock WineFest – July 16

The Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce’s annual wine festival is an event that showcases Colorado’s diverse wine regions. It features over 20 different wineries and over 180 different types of wine. This event is ideal for wine lovers who want to try different kinds of wine and for those who enjoy live music. There will also be plenty of food trucks available for sampling. The event is strictly for ages 21+. 

Boots & Brews – July 30

The Douglas County Fair Parade kicks off the festivities for the Boots & Brews event. This free event will be held in Festival Park. There will be live music, food trucks, and family activities.
