Maize in the City
Located in Thornton, this pumpkin patch has everything your family wants at a Colorado pumpkin patch! It has free admission with attraction prices ranging from free to $20. The family-oriented attractions include a corn maze, mini maze, pumpkin field, corn kernel box, jumping pillows, and more! The Maize in City is a great place to take the family for a jam-packed day of Fall fun.
Anderson Farms
A little further North, you’ll find Anderson Farm in Erie. Take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and explore the other fall fun Anderson Farms offers, such as a pumpkin cannon, a combine slide, a 25-acre corn maze, a straw bale maze, pony rides, barrel train rides, and a sunflower field. So if you and your family are looking to get lost in the corn stalks this fall, look no further.
For teenagers and adults, make sure you come back to Anderson Farms after dark when it’s time to explore Terror in the Corn! You will explore 10 acres of fear-filled fun in this terrifying corn maze! Weekday pricing is $17 per person and $27 per person over the weekend.
If you are interested in braving Terror in the Corn, Thursdays are $35 per person, Fridays & Saturdays are $39 per person, and Sundays are $37 per person. One important thing to note is that if purchasing Terror in the Corn tickets, those include same-day anytime admission to the fall festival, so make sure you come early!
Miller Farms
This fall festival in Platteville, you can explore the farm and learn about harvesting! All activities are included, with admission being $25 per person. Children ages 5-10 are $15, with kids 4 and under enjoying free admission. At Miller Farms, you learn about harvesting, picking your vegetables, corn maze, and more!
Miners’ Pumpkin Patch
If you’re interested in a history lesson, head to Colorado Springs and stop at Miners’ Pumpkin Patch. Admission is $10 if you purchase online and goes up to $12 if you buy tickets at the gate. Children under 3 are free and include a surplus of family activities!
From seeing a vintage apple cider press and machinery demonstrations to cornhole and an animal area (presenters vary– petting zoo, miniature ponies, etc.), Miners’ Pumpkin Patch will not disappoint! If we still haven’t convinced you, Miners’ Pumpkin Patch has a pumpkin smash and a pumpkin catapult! Another activity that makes this pumpkin patch unique is that they have a farmers market with local vendors and artisans! If you feel like learning more about history on your visit to the pumpkin patch, make sure you pay admission to the museum to learn more about mining in Colorado!
Fort Collins Nursery
While this particular place isn’t a pumpkin patch, you still want to stop by on October 8, from 10 am – 3 pm, to see the pumpkin weigh-off and fall jamboree! Admission to the event is free, and no tickets are required.
Several competitions are going on, such as the heaviest pumpkin, with the winner receiving a cash prize of $2,750! Along with the heaviest pumpkin, they also have the heaviest squash category, the prettiest pumpkin, the longest gourd, and competitions for kids as well.
If watching a pumpkin contest isn’t quite your thing, you’ve still got to go for the Jamboree. At the Jamboree, there will be pumpkin bowling, food, and more!
Cottonwood Farms
If you want to grab some pumpkins and winter squash look no further! Cottonwood farms is a family farm located just north of Denver in Lafayette that has tons of fall activities for both kids and adults. Not only do they have a huge pumpkin field, but they also have winter squash and pie pumpkins which is perfect for some yummy fall recipes.
Aside from pumpkin picking, they offer acorn, butternut, delicata, spaghetti squash, and much more. They also have a straw maze, a corn maze, tractor rides, vintage farm equipment on display, friendly animals, and hay rides. It will be open every day from September 24th to October 31st, 10 am to 6 pm. Pre-admission is only $5; buying it at the ticket counter is $7. Also note that the wagon rides are only available on Saturdays and Sundays in October.
Chatfield Farm Pumpkin Festival
Located in Littleton, this pumpkin festival will satisfy all your fall cravings. Denver Botanic Gardens is hosting this celebration at Chatfield Farms on October 7th-9th from 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $11 for children ages 3-15, and free for small children 2 and under.
Admission includes activities such as entry to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin and corn maze, antique tractor exhibit, tractor-pulled parking shuttles, and hayrides.
Also included are photo booths, 20 carnival tickets for games and inflatable bouncers, slides and obstacle courses, a straw mini-maze for kids 10 and younger, express face painting, and balloon characters!
The festival will have food trucks, beer and hard cider vendors, live music, and local craft and artisan booths. These adult and kiddy corn mazes are not something you want to miss!
Rock Creek Farm
Located in Broomfield, Colorado, Rock Creek Farm is the place for you! Since they have over 80 acres of U-Pick-Em pumpkin fields, you will undoubtedly find the perfect pumpkin for you and your family!
They also have a hay bale maze and a corn maze, which is over six miles long! General admission is $6, U-Pick field pumpkin is $7 each, and the corn maze is $10 for adults, $7 for kids ages 4-11, and free for any kids under the age of 3.
Fritzler Family Farm
If you want a little bit of everything this fall season, there is no better place than Fritzer Family Farm! They have a wide variety of activities for all age ranges.
Some of the things they have this year include a corn maze, a pumpkin house, Upick giant pumpkin patch, slide mountain, pedal Go-Carts, barrel train, corn pit, pumpkin cannon, beer garden, ball zone, antique farm equipment, spider web, delicious food, photo ops, corn flyer, pillow jump, pumpkin festival, yard games, face painting, human foosball, inflatable obstacle course, and paintball gallery.
With such a huge selection of things to do, you will have no problem finding something for every family member! They also have an event called Scream Acres for those teens and adults looking for a more spooky attraction in the corn stalks.
The farm will be open from September 18th to October 30th on Fridays 4 pm-10 pm, Saturdays from 11 am-10 pm, and Sundays 12 pm-5 pm. The Scream Acres event starts September 23 and runs until October 29th on Fridays and Saturdays from dark to 10 pm.
Long Neck Pumpkin Farm
If you want something to do in Colorado Springs that is extremely child-friendly, then Long Neck Pumpkin Farm is the place for you! This year they will have a pumpkin patch, hay rides, hay bale slide, toddler turf, tractor swings, water pump station, story barn, grain bin grill, duck races, cowtown, kind farm animals, wagon train, children’s market, and more!
This farm is reservation-only, so if you want to check it out this fall, visit their website and make a reservation! They will open for the 2022 season on September 24th and allow reservation holders every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Mile High Farms
Mile High Farms is the place to be this fall season if you want something to do east of Denver! They will have two corn mazes this year, one for adults and one for kids. They will also have a pumpkin patch that you can access by taking a hay ride on a vintage tractor! In addition to this, they also have a petting zoo, tractor tire corn pits, and unlimited barrel cart rides for kids. So make sure to check out mile-high farms this fall to have a lot of fun!
